The Promise Co.
We’re Cath & Andrew.
Fifteen years ago, we made ‘A Promise’ to each other. To create a different life for ourselves and set up a business together.
We had already adopted the notion of ‘Living Like The Larkins’ - remember the 90s Yorkshire Television series, The Darling Buds of May? (enjoying midweek BBQs, snifters in the afternoon and bacon sandwiches in the bath… you know: the good things in life!) but it took us ten years to find the “perfick” setting.
In 2021, we moved our family to Leyland Farm, in Worsley and The Promise Co. was born. Think festive suppers, creative workshops, community lunches, log fires, updates from the coop and little moments that are what life is all about! We have self sufficient dreams, enthusiasm in abundance and determination where we lack knowledge.

What we do …
Fresh and Quality Produce - We took over the existing egg business (hens, ducks and geese) … adding to our flock, and sourcing free range eggs from other farms when we run out (which is most days). We’ve added honey (with beehives from a local beekeeper, and in 2024 with our own hives. We also provide fresh artisanal sourdough bread and pastries on Fridays (please pre-order by Sunday 4pm).
Events, Workshops & Experiences - We have a beautiful program into 2025, see our What’s On page or the Store for more details. We also sell gift vouchers which can be redeemed against any of the events, workshops, experience or produce.
