Join Louise from Loughman’s Lettering in The Old Brewery for a Beginners’ Modern Calligraphy workshop.

Workshop includes:

- expert teaching by Louise, who will guide you through how to use a calligraphy nib

- practising lettering the alphabet and some words/phrases

- take home your very own calligraphy kit to continue your practice at home

Join Art Table by the log burner in The Old Brewer for Christmas Card Making. There you’ll have time to sit by the fire and enjoy Mulled Wine and Festive Treats, before creating your own personalised and printed Christmas Cards.

Eira will demonstrate the process of Lino Cut Printing using a lino cutter & ink in order create your designs inspired by the festive season. She’ll guide you through the ‘process’ of printing  – giving you tips and tricks.

You’ll take home 10 x beautiful festive Christmas Cards & envelopes.

We’ll meet in The Old Brewery, by the log burner.  There you’ll have time to sit by the fire and enjoy a Glass of Fizz or Mulled Wine & Festive Treats (depending upon which date you choose) on arrival.

Cath or Lexi will then guide you through the ‘process’ of creating your wreath from start to finish – giving you tips and tricks along the way.

You will create your own stencils to print layers of colour to make your own series of abstract prints. Set in our wonderful converted barn, The Old Brewery, Art Table will gently take you through a variety of different techniques and mediums from printmaking, mark-making, watercolours and acrylics - to life drawing, drawing with perspective and working on canvas. Their unique curriculum will cultivate your creativity whether you are beginning or growing as an artist.

Leading the way is Barry Vangoethem from Morgenrot. Known simply as “Baz” to most, he has a gift for making wine approachable and enjoyable — sharing insights, stories and tasting tips in a way that feels more like sitting around a table with friends than a formal tasting.
